“What is that feeling when you’re driving away from people and they recede on the plain till you see their specks disappearing? -it’s the too-huge world vaulting us, and it’s good-by. But we lean forward to that next crazy venture beneath the skies.” ~ Jack Kerouac, On The Road
I am a force to be reckoned with. I am a Category Five hurricane, an earthquake that measures a perfect 10.0 on the Richter Scale, a volcanic eruption that rates an 8 – Megacolossal. I have a profound and visceral effect on everyone who crosses my path, and reap much more cataclysmic consequences in the lives of anyone who crosses me or someone I love.
I have perfected the ability to stand fixedly against and stare down any assailant, external or internal. My foundation has no cracks, and my degree of self-control is unmatched.
You will never encounter anyone like me in your lifetime. And if you did, you wouldn’t know it until after I was long gone.
So far, Ruby tells me I’m the bitch of the bunch. Maybe, she’s known me so long, so she’s probably right. I value honesty and truth and being forthright with people, and I don’t tolerate mendacity, whatever the form it takes.
I stand up in life and speak my mind, and I do whatever it is I feel like doing next. But like Goethe said, “Boldness has a genius, power and magic in it.”
Oh, I’m also manic-depressive and suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder.
